The International Frequency Sensor Association (IFSA) is a major professional, non-profit organization serving the sensor industry and academia since 1999. Founded to provide a platform for academicians, researchers, and engineers from industry, IFSA focuses on presenting and discussing the latest research results and future trends in intelligent, smart sensors with digital, frequency, duty-cycle, PWM, time interval, phase-shift, or pulse number outputs. With over 750 members from 74 countries across six continents, IFSA's membership comprises 59% industry professionals, 40% university researchers, and 1% research institutions. The organization provides comprehensive services including research and development projects, technology transfer, and standardization efforts. IFSA organizes seven annual conferences, tutorials, training courses, and webinars to facilitate knowledge sharing and professional development. The association publishes the open-access Sensors & Transducers journal, open-access book series, monographs, and conference proceedings.
