We specialize in the design, development, and manufacturing of highly specialized stampings, complex welded assemblies, and fabricated steel components. AMG competes in a variety of markets, including automotive, air gas compression, agricultural outdoor power equipment.Specific product offerings include exhaust assemblies and exhaust components, shims, gaskets and specialized stampings. AMG was founded in 1904 as the Akron Metallic Gasket Company. In 1972, AMG officially entered the automotive market and the first decorative exhaust assemblies were provided to Cadillac Motor Car Division. Today, AMG's business continues to concentrate in the automotive arena, working closely on engineering and design with OEMs and Tier 1's. Current OEMs include Ford Motor Car Company, Honda Automotive, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, and Toyota. In addition to exhaust tips, also known as decorative tailpipes, AMG is also a major supplier of fascia trim exhaust systems.These are usually seen as dual exhaust components assembled into the rear fascia of a car or truck. Since 1966, AMG has been based in Mount Vernon, Ohio (approximately 45 miles Northeast of Columbus, Ohio) in a 200,000 square-foot facility. AMG is ISO-9001 certified and employs roughly 125 associates.
