The American Small Manufacturers Coalition (ASMC) serves as the trade association for the Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) National Network, representing MEP Centers located in all 50 states and Puerto Rico. The organization is dedicated to advancing the MEP program through advocacy, empowerment, and collaboration to help small and medium-sized manufacturers succeed and compete globally. ASMC supports its members by advocating for legislative and programmatic resources that advance NIST MEP's mission to enhance the productivity and technological performance of U.S. manufacturing. The coalition empowers MEP Centers to increase awareness and elevate public understanding of the importance of the MEP National Network through a unified voice. Through collaboration, ASMC connects members and cultivates relationships to accelerate knowledge sharing and strengthen the association's impact. The MEP National Network, which ASMC represents, provides U.S. manufacturers with access to critical resources through more than 1,400 trusted advisors and experts. These professionals work directly with manufacturers to improve productivity, enhance competitiveness, and create well-paying manufacturing jobs. The MEP program is a federal public-private partnership managed by NIST and the U.S. Department of Commerce, demonstrating significant impact with jobs created and retained, substantial return on federal investment, and billions in new and retained sales for manufacturing clients.
