The Association of Chinese-American Scientists and Engineers (ACSE) is one of the largest Chinese-American professional organizations in the United States, founded in 1992 and headquartered in Schaumburg, Illinois. The organization operates as an independent, non-political, not-for-profit professional association with sixteen regional chapters across the country and serves several thousand members distributed throughout 30 states, with over 90 percent holding Ph.D. or Master's degrees. ACSE encompasses thirteen professional societies covering diverse technical disciplines including Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry & Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Computer Sciences, Industrial and Applied Mathematics, Environment, Telecommunications, and other engineering specialties. The organization also maintains societies focused on business applications such as Management Business and Administration, and emerging fields like Entrepreneurship and Intelligent Transportation Systems.
